Sata-Lite is an adjustable retail lighting unit, designed to be lightweight and compact.
The unit was constructed from aluminium to be as lightweight as possible, the runners are made from brass as this is self lubricating, minimising the need for maintenance. The exposed nature of this project was to accommodate better cooling from the heatsink connected to the LED in order to improve product lifespan. This project was my first experience with a number of metal fabrication and machining processes including sheet rolling, welding and metal lathe work.
